On November 24, 2024, we, Simon T. and Lorena V., traveled to the Netherlands to participate in the Cross-Cultural Event organized by Albeda School in Rotterdam. Our class teacher, Mr. Luger, accompanied us for three days, while we will be staying here for two weeks.
During this time, we are following a detailed schedule provided by Albeda School. It includes attending classes such as Dutch language courses, Business English, and Sales Training. In addition to these, there are several other engaging activities like country presentations, project work, and a business lunch designed to train professional etiquette.
This event has brought together students from all over Europe. The participating countries include Austria, Croatia, Germany, France, Spain, Sweden, Finland, and Estonia. Socializing and getting to know each other happened quickly, making this an excellent opportunity for networking, improving English skills, and building meaningful relationships.
Our main task during these two weeks is to collaborate on a group project that we will present on the final school day. We have been divided into four culturally diverse groups, each tasked with creating and developing a mock company. This project challenges our teamwork, creativity, and execution skills, as well as tests our knowledge of economics.
So far, we are thoroughly enjoying our time here and embracing the experience. We look forward to the upcoming week and the conclusion of our project, knowing that this event has not only enriched our knowledge but also created cherished memories and lifelong friendships.
